This is why we do what we do
It’s hard to live green.
There are no shortcuts, and from working at the biggest retailers all my career, I’ve seen that so much of what looks green is only green washed. It left me feeling cheated.
When our family adopted our little niece, Naina, we realized to our horror that all the supermarket products are filled with nasties. We struggled to find clean and genuinely nutritious food! Further, when on a trip to Europe, I saw the same miswak twigs that people in my native India used as toothbrushes rebranded and repackaged as the latest oral technology at a hundred times the price, I realised that the ancestral wisdoms of our ancestors is often ignored and sometimes even, ridiculed. Somewhere, I knew there's a better way to capture such wisdoms, scientifically validate and quantify them, and use that data to create tastier, healthier and sustainable foods for the modern world.
For me, that combination of Nature + Science is what Live Green is all about.

Held on the anniversary of the Fall of the Berlin Wall, The BBC regards Falling Walls as "the conference with the brightest minds on the planet" - and for good reason. Some of the most important researchers and thinkers of our time gather in Berlin to discuss breakthroughs with global leaders in science, politics, business, and the media, answering the core question of the conference: “Which are the next walls to fall in science and society?“
