By 2030, we will have to feed 10 Billion people, while facing severe problems like climate change, resource crunch and immunity & lifestyle diseases. Democratising access to health-sustaining plant-only food is the best way to go. With so little time at our disposal, an intuitive and collaborative approach to transformation is needed. But the global food industry is not designed to look for nimble and innovative solutions. The Live Green Company is.
The Live Green Co is a foodtech company, with the vision of accelerating the world's transition to healthy and sustainable food using proprietary technology.
We are doing it By building powerful databases based on the world’s ancestral wisdoms of plant nutrition, and blending it with the latest biotechnology and machine learning... to unearth new and exciting links between plants their uses.
There are no shortcuts, and from working at the biggest retailers all my career, I’ve seen that so much of what looks green is only green washed. It left me feeling cheated.
When our family adopted our little niece, Naina, we realized to our horror that all the supermarket products are filled with nasties. We struggled to find clean and genuinely nutritious food! Further, when on a trip to Europe, I saw the same miswak twigs that people in my native India used as toothbrushes rebranded and repackaged as the latest oral technology at a hundred times the price, I realised that the ancestral wisdoms of our ancestors is often ignored and sometimes even, ridiculed. Somewhere, I knew there's a better way to capture such wisdoms, scientifically validate and quantify them, and use that data to create tastier, healthier and sustainable foods for the modern world.
For me, that combination of Nature + Science is what Live Green is all about.
We're generating a lot of excitement globally,
Both for our agile technology and the cutting-edge Formulations, products and ingredients it helps us develop
The sustainable Food Tech’s advisory board now includes former and current top market movers from Harvard MGH, DRADS Capital, McDonalds, Pepsi Co, Dr. Oetker, Chipotle, FedEx Express, the World Bank, and the UN.
A big step in the evolution of the plant revolution: The Live Green Co, the Chilean origin Global FoodTech startup that has been building a Tech Platform called Charaka to blend nature with science and replace the animal, synthetic and ultra-processed additives in our food, has closed a $7Mn Pre Series-A round, lead by the Boston-based AI, Life Sciences and BioTech VC, DRADS Capital… to strengthen its tech, IP, team, partnerships and operations, and setup commercial and R&D HQ in Boston-USA and prepare for an exponential Series-A in the next 12-15 months.
Amidst more than 1000 nominations from 115 countries, Live Green is proud to announce that we a winner of the Science Startup of the year award!
Held on the anniversary of the Fall of the Berlin Wall, The BBC regards Falling Walls as "the conference with the brightest minds on the planet" - and for good reason. Some of the most important researchers and thinkers of our time gather in Berlin to discuss breakthroughs with global leaders in science, politics, business, and the media, answering the core question of the conference: “Which are the next walls to fall in science and society?“
